How it works

Most groups come to us with an idea, not finished artwork. That's normal, and it's free.

1

Tell us your idea

Pick your size and quantity, then describe the badge or upload what you have. A sketch or photo is plenty.

2

Approve your free proof

Our designers prepare a digital proof. Ask for changes until it's right. Nothing is made until you say yes.

3

We make and deliver

Your badges are made and delivered in 4–6 weeks from approval. Duty-free to the UK and EU.

Artwork tips

You don't need perfect artwork. These tips just help your badge come out as you picture it.

What works well

  • Solid colours. Each colour is its own thread, so gradients and soft shadows can't be reproduced.
  • Up to 10 colours. 7 or fewer is included in the price. Fewer colours often looks bolder.
  • Text that's big enough. Keep lettering at least 3mm tall, especially small or curved text.
  • Simple outlines. Very fine details disappear at badge size.

Not sure your design fits? Upload it anyway. We fix these things at proof stage for free.

Made your design with AI?

That's fine, and lots of leaders do. AI images usually have gradients, texture and too many colours. Ask your AI tool to tidy it before uploading:

"Redraw this as a flat badge design with solid colours only. No gradients, shadows or texture. Maximum 8 colours." "Make all the text bold and easy to read at small size."

Or just upload it as it is, and our designers will prepare it.

Questions leaders ask

What's the minimum order?

The minimum is 50 badges. The price per badge drops at 100, 200, 500 and 1,000, and 100 badges cost only a little more than 50.

I don't have a design. Can you help?

Yes, and it's free. Choose "I have an idea" and describe what you want. Our designers draw it and send you a proof to approve.

How long will my badges take?

4–6 weeks from when you approve your artwork. If you need them for a set date, tell us in your order notes.

Can we put the scout fleur-de-lis on our badge?

Many groups include it on their group badge. The fleur-de-lis, section logos and the Girlguiding trefoil are registered marks, so they should be used within your association's brand guidelines. Check with your district if you're unsure. We make your group's own design and never describe a badge as official.

Sew-on or iron-on?

Sew-on is the most durable and best for uniform shirts that are washed often. Iron-on is quicker, but heat can damage synthetic activity shirts, so we suggest sewing those.

What size should our uniform badge be?

Most uniform badges are 50–70mm on the longest side. Camp blanket and event badges are often larger, up to 100mm.

Do you deliver to the EU?

Yes. Delivery is duty-free to the UK and EU, so there are no import charges when your badges arrive.
